Reflection on Career Seminar
We went to a career seminar on 2 March.It was very crowded with people of different age group.Many booths was set up.Mainly i was interested in the MassCommunications booth.
At there,i find lots of interesting things.If you are interested in Mediacorp production then you can get a course that provides you Diploma In Digital Film And Television.In this course you will learn how to produce a film.Since i wanted to be a scriptwriter,i will take this course for my future ambition.The entry requirement is that you need to get a Diploma in Media and Communications.The lady who was in charge of the booth was very kind and patient.She answered all my questions with a smile.
Along the way,i realised that i am interested in Performing Arts as well as designing cartoons.For designing cartoons,as long as you have passed you 'o' level and attaining at least a Grade 6 for English,you can get to Singapore Polytechnic and join the course theere.At there you will learn how to be a creative thinker.The teacher will teach you about Concepts and techniques of visual thinking, problem-solving and non-verbal communication will be introduced in illustration classes combining drawing practice and critiques. Students will develop skills in any medium or style they choose, including computer illustrations, and will finish the class with a comprehensive portfolio of drawings and illustrations.Cartoon designing is imporatant for future as in future years,kids will still watch cartoons.
Performing Arts has a lot of category.What i am interested in is creating music that is soothing to the ears.To be a proffessional music designer,you must get a Diploma in Media and Communications.In this career,you create music that is relaxing to your mind.After a long stressful day,you can hear to this music.Befor becoming a proffessional,you will be attached to a reputable music or audio-related company.At there you will gain some work experince.This job is relevant for the future as it is very important to take a break after a stressful day.
Overall,the career seminar is a good experience for students like us as it prepares us for our future.

Refletion
After watching the video,i felt a sense of belonging to Singapore.I feel much more safer to live in Singapore.I learn that even though some Singaporeans migrated to other countries such as China or Malaysia they still feel that Singapore is still their homeland.No matter what happen,they will always have Singapore in their hearts.
I felt that a sense of belonging to Singapore is very important to each and everyone.When there is a crisis every Singaporean should have a part to play.For an instance,the National Service boys will help to defend the country while the others could help the casualties.For me i can help by following the instructions given by me.
As a Singaporean i want to contribute and do great things for Singapore.After all Singapore is my homeland and this is where i belong.

My AmbitionI want to be a scrpit writer.I want that job because it is fun to create stories,do my own planning and make my own character.Once you have done the script it would be a pleasure to see your own hard work being acted out.Writing scripts for plays, movies, or television can bring great financial rewards. However, scriptwriting is an extremely competitive field in which relatively few people succeed. Scriptwriting can be less personal than other forms of writing. It may turn into a group project, with the actors and directors contributing to the completion of a script. It also mean Play writer, movie script writer, one who writes plays for hobby or living. You can tell a story many ways and scripts are one of them. It is a good format for telling ideas and listing action and dialogue. Some find it easier to write scripts/plays than writing novels/short stories and many more.
Requirements:
You need to have an interest and flair for writing.Basically this job does not need to have a degree in an anything.If you have the talent and skills then you are certainly qualified to be an actor.Those who does not have the talent need not worry.As long as you have the interest and perseverance you will surely make it to the top.One also need to have good comprehensive knowledge of the Malay and English media scene.You also need to be resourceful and creative.Without creativity your story line will not be entertaining

About MeHello!My name is Siti Aishah Bte Abdul Rahman or you can call me Aishah for short.I am 15 this year.My birthday falls on 29 August,so i would be 16 in 7 months' time.My hobbies are reading,playing and chatting on the phone.I am a big fan of Harry Potter and i have a whole collection of J.K Rowling's book at home.I like her books. I have 3 younger sisters ageed 5,12 and 14.I love to play with them.When i am feeling hyper,i would play badminton with them.Sometimes,i find my sister irritating especially when i need to use the phone.The whole house becomes a disaster zone with me and my sisters aged 12 and 14,Ain and Ayu shouting and throwing tantrums.In the end nobody gets to use the phone.mMum and dad are both working.I rarely my dad.My siblings and i are usually alone at home,either doing revisionor playing.As i am the eldest,i need to take care of my sisters.I must be a role model to them so that they will be good children.
I have two great friends.Their names are Syakillah and Maimanah.When i am feeeling down,they would comfort me.Once in a while,we go to a shopping centre and shop there.It is fun to have a joker and a serious friend around you.When you need help with studies you go to Syakillah but when you feel moody you go to Maimanah.
